MISSION
Realization of world peace - Creating a planet where children can live in peace
VISION
Raising Peace-Creating Children

Creating a planet where children can live in peace is a very urgent and important issue.
We at the Peace Piece Project define world peace as the creation of a planet where children can live in peace and security, and we are raising children who will create peace in order to realize this definition.
We are not only passing on the “history” of war and nuclear weapons, but also creating learning opportunities to think concretely about how to create peace, and through future-oriented peace education, we are nurturing children who will create peace.

2009

2010-
Olympic Bid Activities

The “2020 Hiroshima Olympics Cheering Squad” was formed to send a message of peace to the world by hosting the Olympics in Hiroshima, which has successfully recovered from the atomic bombing. A petition drive was held, and a total of 603,186 signatures were collected from all over Japan and submitted to the Mayor of Hiroshima.
2014-
Original manga publication

Focusing on the “reconstruction” of Hiroshima, the manga is based on the true story of a great-grandmother who revitalized her business and continued to contribute to the community while raising her five-year-old mother, who lost her parents in the atomic bombing, with her hands full. It is also being used as peace education materials in elementary and junior high schools, and the company aims to publish it in the six official languages of the United Nations.
2020-
Organized by Children’s World Peace Summit

Young people define what peace is in their own words and give speeches on their ideas to create world peace. Held at the International Conference Hall of the House of Representatives, the event aims to be a global festival of wisdom in which 100 million children from 100 countries participate to solve global issues.

At the age of 10, he was in a car accident that resulted in a brain hemorrhage that nearly killed him, and he miraculously returned from the brink of life and death. As a token of his gratitude, he aspired to become an entrepreneur to benefit society.
As a high school student, he participated in volunteer activities to guide students from Japan and abroad around Peace Memorial Park.
He decided to actively promote activities to “create peace,” rather than just anti-war activities to convey the history of war and nuclear weapons.
She regards the aging of those who experienced the atomic bombing and war as a serious problem, and aims to realize world peace by raising as many peace-creating children as possible now.
My mother was exposed to the atomic bomb when she was 5 years old, 1.5 km from the bombing site. She lost her grandfather in the war and her grandmother in the atomic bombing, and grew up hearing true stories of the reconstruction of Hiroshima from her mother and great-grandmother.
