I am a Chinese national living in Japan.
What is peace? To me, peace is the absence of prejudice in the world. But prejudice does not disappear in the world. Because that is how the human system is designed. To recognize things, we distinguish things and think about them. We have no choice but to do so in order to process the large amount of information we receive every day. So, as long as you and I are all human, prejudice is an emotion that we all have.
So what are you going to do about it?
My dream is to see the world less prejudiced than it is today. To begin with, I believe that prejudice is due to a lack of knowledge about other groups. From there, we have fears, feelings of superiority, and other feelings that are not appropriate or appropriate because we don’t know them very well.
Therefore, I propose the creation of a worldwide Family Friendship Program and the establishment of “Friend Families” to deepen international exchange from a young age.
Having Chinese parents and growing up in Japan, I have often traveled back and forth between Japan and China since I was a child. Every time I went to China, I was welcomed by a warm family, and in Japan, I was blessed with many kind friends, and I loved both countries. I loved both countries, and I wish that everyone had a family like my own in a place other than where I always lived. I believe that something would start to change in the world.
The Global Friendship Family Program will first create a government-approved social networking app that will be professionally handled by the program. This app will be operated in cooperation with other countries around the world, and families from around the world will be registered and grouped together. The groupings will be made by placing families with similar family structures and situations, but from different countries, in the same group. The families in the same group will recognize each other’s family members as “friends” and interact with each other through a social networking application by giving them small tasks that are very easy to work on. It is just like having a conversation with your own family members who live overseas for the first time in a long time. The purpose of this program is to help students feel familiarity with people who live in different areas from themselves through regular and long-term exchanges from an early age.
Would you like to have a “family of friends” with us? Would you like to learn more about the world?
Thank you very much for your kind attention!
