The Children’s World Peace Summit invites ideas from teenagers to achieve world peace.
During the submission period from April 1 to April 30, 2024, ten outstanding entrants who have submitted ideas for creating peace will be chosen to represent the children at the 5th Children’s World Peace Summit. This event will be held on August 20, 2024, at the First Members’ Office Building of the House of Representatives, where they will present their ideas from the minister’s seat.

Since its inception in 2020, this summit, now in its fifth year, continues to collect ideas from children around the world on how to make the world a more peaceful place. Participation in the past included 72 individuals from 3 countries in 2020, 202 individuals from 11 countries in 2021, 200 from 8 countries in 2022, and 200 from 20 countries in 2023. (Note: Group submissions are also counted as one individual.)

The summit aims to cultivate children’s interest in international cooperation and develop their ability to play an active role in the international community by providing them with experiences to learn and think about peace in a multicultural setting.
