At the age of 15, MEGU participated in the 2nd Children’s World Peace Summit.
At that time, she shared her dream of becoming a model who would be active on the global stage.
She spoke with confidence in her own words:
“World peace means bringing smiles to people all around the world.
To achieve that, it is important for each and every one of us to act with compassion.”
And now—
Carrying that belief in her heart and continuing to take on challenges,
MEGU has gone on to deliver a speech in English as a representative of Japan
at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

We are truly moved to see how she turned her dream into words,
and through continued action, has taken flight onto the world stage.
Congratulations, MEGU, on this remarkable achievement.

The Peace Piece Project will continue to believe in the power of children’s aspirations to shape the future,
and will keep supporting their steps forward.
